FINAL PROJECTS MIDDLE GRADE JEWELLERY

It is a work of jewellery that protests against the exploitation derived by and because of African gold and diamond mines. Since the white man discovered the mineral wealth of the African continent, its people have witnessed, much to their chagrin, an endless number of wars, massacres and violence, not to mention the polluting and deforestation of its lands. It is a shackle choker necklace with two interchangeable pendants, one of which can be turned into a brooch. It is crafted in brass (because of its similarity in colour to gold), zirconias (because of its similarity to diamonds) and cement jewellery. The later symbolizes the heavy weight that Africans have had to endure simply because of being born in one of the most resourceful and rich continents and yet one with the poorest and bleakest future for its people.

The project involves the realization of a piece of jewellery inspired by the god Ervdino. The piece consists of a torque brass wire terminations gimped with wolf's head carved yew wood. The torque links in a medallion that emulates a shield, convertible into a brooch patinated copper.

A sculptural jewel made of brass and pyrite using the folding and welding as its techniques. It is inspired by the abstract and geometric language of the Basque sculptor Jorge Oteiza and Eduardo Chilllida, which ends in the cube as module-icon representative of both artists.

Necklace made of coral and brass fimo using the crimping and lead inlay techniques. It is inspired by the work of Yayoi Kusama "The time of the Resurrection" and of contemporary abstract art. It represents the transit of personality by the different cycles of life (childhood, youth and maturity).

Ceremonial tiara made of brass, synthetic red spinel and synthetic agate. In its realization they have been used various techniques such as embossing, chiseling, set and filigree. It is inspired by Modernism and expresses the bonds of affection and commitment in relationships and the moment of ending.

Silver necklace made of 925 made by embossing, grain and patina. It is inspired by the Japanese mythology and the paintings that the artist Takashi Murakami has on the dragon as a mythological character
